 Going out of Business Sale Minimize


A license is required for a going out of business sale which is a sale held out in such a manner that the public believes that, upon the disposal of the stock of goods on hand, the business will cease and be discontinued. The license is good for 60 consecutive days, Sundays and holidays excluded and may be extended for 30 days.

Forms:
 Please bring your valid Colorado identification.

You must supply a description of the facts of the sale as well as an complete inventory of the goods on hand.

Inspections:  The Department of Excise and Licenses inspectors will check the inventory and review it as the sale progresses.
 
Fees:
Application: $150
License fee: 90 days maximum: $100
