Welcome to the liquor licensing division of the Department of Excise and Licenses. Colorado liquor and beer retail licenses are issued by the city and the state licensing authorities.

To get a license that has been expired for more than 90 days but fewer than 180 days reissued, fill out form DR-8407.

Denver has adopted rules governing city-established consumption areas(PDF, 542KB). The rules establish areas where individuals who are 21 or older can drink takeout beverages purchased from eligible liquor licensed businesses. The rules were adopted following a recorded public hearing.
