8th Avenue Viaduct Maintenance

The Denver Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI), in collaboration with Hamon Infrastructure, completed some critical maintenance needs on the 8th Avenue Viaduct between Vallejo and Mariposa Street in June 2025. The effort replaced expansion joints to support continued use of the bridge by the traveling public while funding is identified to address the future of the structure to a greater extent.

Grays Peak General Storm

The goal of this project was to improve the drainage and mitigate ponding and/or flooding that currently occurs in larger storm events.The Grays Peak General Storm includes projects in three locations. Ellsworth Avenue between Steele Street and Garfield Street in Cherry Creek, Wabash / Willow Alley and Sidewalk Improvements in the East Colfax neighborhood and Cedar Avenue and Perry Street in the Barnum neighborhood.

Ellsworth Avenue Phase 2 was completed in 2025.

Speer Boulevard Bridges Preventive Maintenance Project

Denver's Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI) has completed preventative maintenance work on three bridges along Speer Boulevard, ensuring they provide a smooth, safe ride and effectively support the traveling public for years to come.

The work that was done included removal and replacement of the waterproofing membranes on the bridge decks, bridge deck repairs, removal and replacement of bridge expansion joints, milling and paving, final striping, and a fresh coat of paint on their iconic arches.
