LeafDrop and Pumpkin Recycling

Leafdrop sites are now closed for 2025! Additional leaves can be dropped off at the Cherry Creek Recycling Drop-off during regular operating hours. Do not dump leaves at any other sites.

 

2025 Drop Sites

WEEKDAY DROP SITES: Oct. 6 – Nov. 21

The following LeafDrop locations will be open on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.: 

  • Cherry Creek Transfer Station* – 7301 E. Jewell Ave. (enter on E. Jewell Ave.)
  • Havana Nursery – 10450 Smith Rd. (enter on Smith Road)
  • Central Platte Campus – 1271 W. Bayaud Ave. (Enter through the gates at Bayaud and Navajo, go past the Denver Animal Shelter to dumpsters in front of Building 2 on the right

*Hitched trailers (6ft in length or less) are only accepted at the Cherry Creek Transfer Station.

WEEKEND DROP SITES: Nov. 8 and 9

The following LeafDrop locations will be open on Saturday, November 8 and Sunday, November 9 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.:  

  • Bruce Randolph High School – E. 40th Ave. and Steele St.
  • Cherry Creek Transfer Station* – 7301 E. Jewell Ave. (enter on E. Jewell Ave.)
  • Kennedy High School – Newland St. and Brown Pl.
  • Sloan’s Lake Northwest Parking Lot – W. Byron Pl. and Yates St.
  • Veterans Park – S. Vine St. and E. Iowa Ave.

*Hitched trailers (6ft in length or less) and loose leaves are only accepted at the Cherry Creek Transfer Station.

Leaves brought to all other LeafDrop sites must be in paper bags. Residents can download a coupon for a free five-pack of paper leaf bags at participating Ace Hardware stores.

Compost customers can put leaves and other yard debris in their green carts.
