Hiring Community Partnerships Administrator

Published on August 04, 2021

We are growing our team! Denver’s Office of Climate Action, Sustainability, and Resiliency (CASR) works to enable a sustainable, resilient, climate-safe future for all of Denver in collaboration with fellow departments, other units of government, and community partners. We lead the development of innovative programs, policy, and community-based services. CASR ensures that our goals are aligned with current climate science, promotes the role that climate action and sustainability play in strengthening Denver's economic vitality and a prosperous future for all, and embraces equity as a value and practice in all its work. CASR is responsible for managing the Climate Protection Fund (CPF), which will disburse $35M annually for climate mitigation, adaptation, and resilience initiatives. Learn more at www.denvergov.org/sustainability.

Inclusive community engagement is critical to the work of CASR. We firmly believe every voice matters and communities should have the opportunity to shape the future of their city. To ensure this, we are seeking a Community Partnerships Administrator to drive this work. This is a new position within the Communications and Engagement Division for a highly motivated and innovative individual with expertise working with community-based organizations, small business partners and a wide range of stakeholders, with a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion. This position will listen and respond to members of the public, actively engaging groups that may be unlikely to participate in traditional outreach efforts, and help update CASR’s outreach tools and strategies, including best practices for community meetings, public events, surveys and soliciting feedback. This role is a key member of the CASR team, reporting to the Communications and Engagement Manager. Applications are due by August 15, 2021.
